It is with deep sadness that Harrington Family Mortuary and Cremation Services announce the passing of: Mrs.  Freda McDowell Emmons.

Freda McDowell – Emmons, age 61, of Cairo, Georgia, departed from this walk of life on Sunday August 24, 2024, at Archbold Medical Center, after a brief battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Fred McDowell, and sisters, Angela Rice and Betty R. Thompson.

Freda will be remembered by her brother, Thomas P. Rice. Sisters, Joan Phillips, Linda LaChance, and Patricia Cochran. Also, a host of family members and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the kindness and support we received during this trying time. Though deeply saddened by her passing, there is comfort in the knowledge that she is safe in the arms of Jesus. We pray God's richest blessings upon each of you.
