Obituary

Robin Marc Borkowski, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2025, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.

Robin was born on March 16, 1952, in New Britain, Connecticut. He grew up in Terryville, Connecticut, and also spent time living in Clinton, Connecticut, places that remained meaningful to him throughout his life.

He was a graduate of Monson Academy, now known as Wilbraham & Monson Academy. Robin went on to attend nursing school at New Britain General Hospital, beginning a lifelong calling in healthcare. He dedicated more than 45 years of service as a registered nurse, a career marked by compassion, skill, and commitment to the well-being of others.

In 2018, Robin retired and fulfilled a longtime dream by purchasing a home on Lake Seminole in Bainbridge, Georgia, where he resided until his passing. There, he found peace and enjoyment in retirement, surrounded by nature and the quiet rhythms of lake life.

Robin had a deep love for aviation and flying, earning his private pilot's license in 1979. He was also passionate about blacksmithing, enjoying the creativity and craftsmanship the art demanded. These pursuits reflected his curiosity, precision, and appreciation for both technical skill and hands-on work.

He was preceded in death by his father, Felix Borkowski; his mother, Patricia Borkowski (née Gibbon); and his brother, Philip Borkowski.

Robin is survived by his ex-wife, Krystyna Borkowski; his daughter, Jessica Adelstein (née Borkowski); his son-in-law, Spenser; and his beloved grandchildren, Lyla and Callum, who brought him great pride and joy.

Robin will be remembered for his dedication to his profession, his love of learning and craftsmanship, and his quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of care, curiosity, and devotion that will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
